Become a Leader

What Does it Mean to Be a Leader?

Leadership at THE ASSOCIATED and our agencies takes on many different faces: from the volunteer who commits her time working with the elderly to the committee member who makes the suggestion as to how to do business differently; from those speaking out for the Baltimore Jewish community in Annapolis to those speaking out for human rights around the world; from the Chair of the Board to the members at large, all are important and integral leaders.

Leadership is the commitment to our community to take the time – no matter how much or how little you have to give – to make a world of difference. In order to make change happen, to affect the lives of people, we need leaders like you. All of the committees of THE ASSOCIATED and our agencies with whom we partner are in need of dedicated and caring volunteers to help build a successful community. Here in Jewish Baltimore we are proud to have a network of opportunities that serve our community throughout the many stages of our lives, through the good times and the troubled ones.

By getting involved as a leader, you are sharing the vision for the future of this Jewish community. Find the cause that moves and motivates you to advocate on behalf of our community.

BJC Leadership Program

The Baltimore Jewish Council (BJC) has established a Leadership Development Program to prepare individuals to hold key positions in the field of Jewish community relations and public affairs. The mission of the program is to develop Jewish leaders, not only for a particular agency or organization, but also for the community-at-large. Learn more.
